Can Bitcoin Reach $1m in 2030? Let’s Examine Cathie Wood’s Crypto Thesis

Colleagues, Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood reaffirmed her $1million price target for Bitcoin in 2030 during a November 22, 2022 interview with Bloomberg. According to the Wall Street Journal BTC closed at $16,137 that very day.  How credible is Wood’s prediction? Let’s examine her logic. First, the BTC Blockchain protocol on Ethereum remains rock solid. Second, the Bitcoin Hash rate is at an all-time high. Third, Ethereum stake is also at an all-time high. Therefore, the underlying BTC infrastructure is “working beautifully”. Moreover, the FTX collapse, like Bernie Madoff, is “fraud” … pure and simple. Now that the bad actor(s) have been removed from the crypto ecosystem, trust in the global crypto ecosystem should rapidly improve. Finally, the US SEC now has lazer focus on decentralization and transparency. Thus, she expects the SEC to approve a Bitcoin ETF in the near future … providing a dramatic increase in consumer access to BTC that in turn will be a major growth driver.
