Colleagues, after years of speculation followed by a major bear market in 2022, will the top ecommerce and tech titans Amazon, Google and Meta begin accepting Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies) for online payments in the year ahead? With the sharp rise in crypto prices in early 2023 consumers and traders strongly favor such a move. By contrast, CFOs and stockholders alike, are far more risk averse, and likely need to regain much needed confidence in crypto along with “measured” regulation by the US SEC before taking the plunge.
